DESCRIPTION: Atkins, Whiting & Co., Bristol, Conn., "Parlor No. 1" mantel clock, 30 days, time only, wagon spring driven Type III movement in a rosewood veneer case with painted metal dial and reverse painted dial surround on glass, c1852
CONDITION: the case retains an old finish with a small veneer chip on the upper left corner molding and a veneer piece missing on right rear return molding. The original bone door knobs are present. The dial has been lightly clear coated and the paint on lower tablet is absent. Most had a mirror or wood panel in the bottom door, which would be an easy restoration.
